Who We Are

Stab!

No Quarter Arms LLC has been renting weapons to theaters, university theater departments, Shakespeare festivals, and various fight groups and small film companies for more than ten years. Almost all of our stock is hand-built by Dennis L. Graves, a swordcutler with more than 30 years of experience building swords for the stage and for historical martial art fencing. Any pieces obtained from other sources have been carefully rebuilt to withstand theatrical use. We stock only combat weapons - no "costume" pieces or props. Even small daggers and knives that would not normally be struck by another weapon are real and sound.

All of our weapons are constantly inspected upon return, and "tired" blades are replaced. All weapons are kept tight, clean, free of burrs and nicks, and carefully dulled and blunted for stage use.

All of our weapons are built in a specific historic style. We don't carry any fantasy weapons and we don't arbitrarily combine blades and hilts. Each weapon is designed complete and individually fitted together and balanced to perform as nearly as possible to its historic counterpart. Concessions to theatricality are made only for the sake of maintenance and durability.

We don't carry any retractables, blood daggers, breakaways, etc. We don't carry shields and polearms or axes and maces because of the shipping difficulties and lack of survivability, but we have a lot of experience with these and we're happy to share our ideas and techniques with anyone interested.

Renting stage combat weapons for more than 10 years

Most pieces made entirely by Dennis L. Graves, Swordcutler, who has more than 30 years experience with theatrical swords. Those not made by Mr. Graves (sabers, some knives, etc.) have been rebuilt and reinforced to withstand theatrical use.

All weapons sound for stage combat.
